How many rooms are there in Cabin Cult?
The Cabin Cult escape room experience is spread across 6-7 different sections, which includes a large maze and crawling space. It's one of the largest and most immersive escape room attractions in Sydney.

Some rooms have a stronger focus on puzzles & games, while other rooms focus more on scares and immersion.​

Cabin Cult is an immersive Horror Comedy Escape Room set in the Woods. It has elements of a traditional escape room, combined with that of a haunted house attraction. ​

You’re in for more than just puzzles – you’re stepping into a fully immersive horror adventure. Each room within the experience is thoughtfully designed to combine fun & scary challenges, creative storytelling, humour, and stunningly detailed sets.

How scary are your rooms?
Our rooms are designed to be scary but fun. We understand not everyone wants the same level of scares! That’s why we offer a customisable ‘scare-o-meter’. When booking, you can choose your level of scariness:

For non-scary sessions, live actors can adapt their performance to be fun and engaging without being frightening, and atmospheric changes include brighter lighting and fewer startling effects.​

Is there a live actor?
Yes, there will be a live actor during your session which helps bring the story to life. Don't worry, our live actors won't touch you!
If you'd prefer not to have live acting, just let us know beforehand, or on the day when you arrive.

How many people can participate?
2 to 8 players. For the optimal experience, we recommend groups of 3 to 6. For larger groups (8 or more players), please contact us on 0417 000 481 or info@strangeworldescaperooms.com​

Can I take photos or videos while I'm inside?
Yes! You can bring your phone in and take photos or videos to capture the fun.
Just two rules: don’t spoil the magic by revealing how to solve the puzzles! And no flash torch, as this limits the immersion. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
​​What are the age restrictions?
There are no actual age restrictions however we highly recommend ages 18+ due to the horror themes, coarse language and adult material.
Younger audiences (17 and under) are welcome to attend so long as they are mature and respect the actors.

Will my session be private?
Yes, every booking made will be a private session! Whether you book for a group of 2 or a group of 8, your session is guaranteed to be private. Once you reserve a time slot, it’s exclusively yours - no sharing with other groups.

How long does each experience last?
Approx. 70 minutes. Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before you session time.

After your session, we’re happy to take group photos, and if time permits (or if you’re interested), we can even offer a quick "behind-the-scenes" tour to show you how the magic is made.

Is booking in advance required?
To ensure you get the time slot that suits you best, we recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance through our website.​

Where can I park or how can I get there?​

Street Parking: The best places to find parking are on Taylor Street in Darlinghurst (just a 1-minute walk away) and on Bourke Road, directly across the road from us. Availability varies depending on the time of day, so we recommend arriving early to secure a spot

Public Transport (Bus): The closest stop is Taylor Square, Flinders St, Stand B, just a 10-second walk from our entrance

Public Transport (Train): Both Central & Kings Cross Station are a short 10-15 minute walk

What should I wear?
Feel free to wear whatever makes you comfortable – this isn’t a fashion show... unless you want it to be! Most of the experience involves light movement, but fair warning: brave souls in your group will need to crawl at some stage during the experience.
Can I host a private event or party at Strange World Escape Rooms?
Yes! Strange World is perfect for private events, birthday parties, and team-building sessions.

What happens if we don’t escape in time?
If you don’t finish within 70 minutes, don’t worry – we’ll do our best to give you some extra time so you can enjoy the full experience. However, this depends on our schedule for the day, as we need to stay on track for the next group.
Either way, our game masters will guide you through the final steps to ensure you don’t miss out on completing the full experience!​​​​
