At Strange World, you’re in for more than just puzzles – you’re stepping into a fully immersive adventure! Our escape rooms are thoughtfully designed to combine intricate challenges, creative storytelling, and stunningly detailed sets.

How scary are your rooms?
Our rooms are designed to be thrilling, but we understand not everyone wants the same level of intensity. That’s why we offer a customisable ‘scare-o-meter’ to suit your preferences! When booking, you can choose your level of scariness:

No, thanks! – Perfect for families, younger audiences, or those who prefer a non-scary but immersive experience.
For non-scary sessions, live actors won't be present, or they'll adapt their performance to be fun and engaging without being frightening, and atmospheric changes include brighter lighting, no jump scares, and fewer startling effects.​ No matter what you choose, the experience is immersive, challenging, and fun for everyone!
Are there age restrictions?
Our rooms are designed to be fun and immersive for a wide range of ages! While we recommend them for ages 13 and above due to the puzzles and themes, younger guests are absolutely welcome when accompanied by an adult. We can also tailor the experience to be less intense for family-friendly groups – just let us know your preferences when booking!

How many people can participate?
2 to 8 players. For an optimal experience, we recommend groups of 4 to 6. For larger groups, please contact us on 0417 000 481 or info@strangeworldescaperooms.com

Can I take photos or videos inside the rooms?
Yes! You can bring your phone and take photos or videos to capture the fun. Just one rule: don’t spoil the magic by revealing how to solve puzzles or sharing answers - let’s keep the surprises alive for everyone! Also, if you decide to take your phone in, make sure to switch off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, as they can interfere with the game. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Is there live acting?
Yes. If you'd prefer not to have live acting, just let us know!
How long does each experience last?
Each experience is designed to last about 60 minutes. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early for a briefing to get you ready for the adventure.
After your session, we’re happy to capture the moment with group photos, and if time permits (or if you’re interested), we can even offer a quick "behind-the-scenes" tour to show you how the magic is made!

Is booking in advance required?
To ensure you get the time slot that suits you best, we recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance through our website.
What should I wear?
Feel free to wear whatever makes you comfortable – this isn’t a fashion show... unless you want it to be! Most of the experience involves light movement, but fair warning: two brave souls in your group will need to channel their inner adventurer and do a little crawling. Comfortable shoes are a good idea to keep things fun and easy.

Looking for something unique and perfect for larger groups?
Try our Escape & Bake Challenge!

This exciting 2-hour experience splits your group into two teams (max 8 per team, up to 16 total). One team will take on the Mrs. Claws Escape Room while the other dives into a fun Christmas Cookie Decorating Challenge at MakMak. After an hour, the teams switch, giving everyone a chance to enjoy both activities. Perfect for team bonding, holiday fun, or a memorable celebration!

What happens if we don’t escape in time?
If you don’t finish within 60 minutes, don’t worry – we’ll do our best to give you some extra time so you can enjoy the full experience. However, this depends on our schedule for the day, as we need to stay on track for the next group. Either way, our game masters will guide you through the final steps to ensure you don’t miss out on the story!

Will my session be private?
Yes, every booking made will be a private session. Whether you book for a group of 2 or a group of 8, your session is guaranteed to be private. Once you reserve a time slot, it’s exclusively yours - no sharing with other groups.
